The Metropolitan Atlanta Youth Wind Ensemble (MAYWE) was formed by Robert J. Ambrose in 2003 to provide an outstanding wind band performance opportunity for talented young musicians in the greater Atlanta area.  The ensemble is comprised of eighty of the most outstanding high school wind, brass and percussion players from throughout the metropolitan Atlanta area.  

 

Robert J. Ambrose served as music director and conductor of the ensemble from 2003 to 2011 and now serves as principal guest conductor.
